Toyota Announces Voluntary Recall of Corolla Altis [ Diesel ] in India

Bangalore, Nov 25th, 2014: As part of a global recall announced by Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today voluntarily announced a recall campaign in India. The recall campaign will cover 5,834 vehicles manufactured between 15th Jun 2010 – 23rd May 2011, in India. The recall has been announced to replace the components contributing to engine oil entry into air intake system.

Owners of the vehicles covered under this Recall Campaign will receive a notification by letter/ call from Toyota. The Recall Campaign will be conducted from 25th Nov 2014, across all authorized Toyota dealers in India.

The vehicle repair if necessary will be carried out by the authorized Toyota dealers, free of cost. Time required for the completion of repairs will be informed at the time of customer communication. No other Toyota models, sold in India, are covered by this recall campaign.

TKM has announced this voluntary recall, as a part of the customer first policy. The company will also notify SIAM, in accordance with the voluntary code on vehicle recall. No complaints have been received in India, so far.

Toyota Announces Recall Campaign for Camry in India

Bangalore, 12th November, 2014: As a part of a global recall announced by Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today announced a recall campaign in India. The recall campaign will cover a total of 119 units sold in India and manufactured in Japan between March 2011 – July 2011.

The recall has been announced due to a possible defect in the front suspension.

Customers will be contacted by the authorized Toyota dealers. The vehicle repair, if necessary, will be done free of cost. The repairs are expected to be carried out in approximately 2 hours. No complaints have been received in India so far. However, the company is conducting this recall as a part of the Voluntary Recall code.

The company regrets the inconvenience caused and seeks customer’s cooperation and understanding during this time. TKM is committed to do their best in assisting you through this activity.

Beware of fraudulent recruitment emails / communication

Our attention has been drawn by certain members of the public that they have received communication through emails for job interviews / offers in our company. This is to inform you that certain unscrupulous elements (individuals, firms, companies, etc) are misleading job aspirants by claiming themselves to be employees of Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd., (TKM) or authorized job agencies of TKM. They have been using trademarks of TKM and misguiding the candidates to deposit certain amount of money in specified accounts for securing employment or as deposit towards travel for final interview round, etc. These communications are purely made with an intention defraud the public. Job seekers are informed that TKM does not ask or collect any money or payment of any kind from candidates for considering them for interview or employment. TKM has already initiated criminal action against some of these persons.

We therefore caution the general public against relying on or acting on such fraudulent emails / communications. Do not reply to these messages or enter into any correspondence with the sender.
