Chandigarh,
January 27th, 2012: Toyota Kirloskar Motor today announced that
it will kick-off the Etios Motor Racing (EMR) on-ground promotional activities
in its dealerships in Chandigarh and Mohali this weekend at the onset
of its launch on 28th of this month. This comes close on the heels of
the unveiling of the EMR concept cars at the Auto Expo in Delhi earlier
this year and the official introduction of Toyota’s entry into Indian
motorsport.
Globally, Toyota’s rationale is to make motorsport more accessible,
not only to participants but to its spectators as well, and through its
wide network in India the company will take EMR closer to its customers
across the country in the year 2012. In all, EMR will reach out to a majority
of Toyota customers and motorsport enthusiasts in 15 cities and 25 dealerships.
The excitement of EMR begins in Chandigarh on the 28th and 29th of January
2012 at the Toyota dealerships – Pioneer Toyota (H&I Industrial
Area/ Phase1, Chandigarh) and Globe Toyota (6th Phase, Industrial Area,
Mohali). Through these dealership activities, motorsport enthusiasts in
Chandigarh will be given an opportunity not only to touch and feel the
brand new sporty avatar of the Etios and Etios Liva but also engage in
a host of fun, racing/ motorsport activities.
In its effort to reach out to the mass segment and further reinforce a
youthful vibe to its Etios brand, Toyota’s Etios Motor Racing (EMR),
the one-make racing series, will be held in 2013. The Etios racing platform
will help talented young racers develop their skills, and further train
them to gain a competitive edge for their future in motorsports.
The online application process for the driver training has begun at http://www.toyotaetiosmotorracing.in/
and will be open till the 15th of February.
