Tips on improving your car fuel
For better fuel efficiency please follow the below mentioned tips
Good maintenance & handling of the vehicle can benefit
you in fuel efficiency and will avoid premature wear
of components. Check air filter condition regularly as
clogged air filters restrict the flow of air into the engine
reducing its performance & economy
Check the tire pressure every two weeks,
or atleast once a month (including the spare tire).
Excess weight puts additional load on the engine and hence increases the fuel consumption.
Avoid prolonged idling during the first start of the day.
Keep proper distance from other vehicles to avoid sudden braking.
Maintain a moderate speed on highways to optimize fuel
Do not accelerate fully while driving or starting the engine.
Do not shift to higher gears at lower speeds
Resting your foot on the clutch or brake pedal
while driving causes premature wear, overheating and
poor fuel economy.
Use reputed fuel stations to get good quality fuel.
Do not use fuel stations without shelter or paved floor.
Do not use adulterated fuel. For better fuel economy use the recommended grade of engine oil which is mentioned in the owner's manual.
