Vikram Partap Phulka - Innova

Respected sir,
Our family is the proud owner of a 2005 white Toyota innova purchased through csd as my father on whose name the car is, Col P.I.S. Phulka is a retired army officer. We have had a few cars in the family now but I can safely state that the innova is by far the most well built and superior automobile in all aspects. I was instrumental in arriving at the decision that our next car would be an innova as I am an auto enthusiast and am aware of Toyota prowess as a car company. There have to be a number of good reasons behind the company being the global leader. Though we might be in the market place in the coming few months for a new Toyota car the ultimate aim, at least for me remains the legendary land cruiser 200. I will get there I am sure.

I would like to share a road trip our family took in 2007 with you. It was a substantial one involving more than 10000 kilometers and more than ten states. Although I am aware that Toyota owners are avid travelers but what makes this journey so special was that more than 80% of it was carried out in a car which was not a 100%. Why I say this is because when we took off from our place at Patiala we were headed towards pune via bikaner, jodhpur and later on Ahmedabad and nashik we met with an accident on Rajasthan Gujarat border. Although we were lucky to be uninjured the vehicle suffered. Quite a lot in fact as the front wheel was totally uprooted. Sensing the seriousness of the situation my father called the good folks at Infinium Toyota, Ahmedabad which was almost 200 kms away and the nearest Toyota dealer. Their people were there in some time and put the vehicle back on-road within no time and then we drove to Ahmedabad for a thorough check-up. All done we were back on a road in a day and continued our journey which went through one the most hostile and demanding terrain I have experienced especially in orissa and chattisgarh and trust me being from an army background I know when the going gets real tough. The itinerary was Patiala-bikaner-jodhpur-ahmedabad-Shirdi-pune-hyderabad-vijaywada-vizag-koraput-jagadalpur-gidam-bijapur-raipur-nagpur-riva-varanasi-lucknow-bareilly-delhi-patiala. What astounded us all was the sheer reliability of the car, it would fire up every day without fail and we weren't paying the best attention to the car. This car has some serious off roading ability which we discovered while going from jagdalpur to bijapur and gidam. Any one who has been to that part of the country would second this that there are practically no roads and the condition of the tracks can even put some rally circuits to shame. It is in a way as reliable as the SUN! Special mention again to the Toyota folks at infinium as well as our dealer which is pioneer Toyota Chandigarh. They have simply been far too kind.

We have nearly done six figures on the car and it still soldiers on regardless. My folks have back problems and nothing but the innova does for them, it is so comfortable.

I am not writing this letter for any freebies but only to exemplify the heartfelt gratitude of our family, what a car and an even better setup.

Warm regards,
