The '2005 TOYOTA Dream Car Art Contest' is back - children can once again put their creativity into overdrive and paint 'Dream Car of the Future" out of their imagination onto paper and win a trip to Japan.
Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), Japan has announced the '2005 Toyota Dream Car Art Contest'. The contest is in its second year and is now extended to 4 other countries including India. With the theme being 'Dream Car', the contest will see children 15 years old and below compete in the three age-group categories of, Below 9years old, 10-12years old and 13-15years old across India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan.
Mr. Atsushi Toyoshima, Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, "Last year, we saw an overwhelming response to the Dream Car Contest from children around the world. The highest number of entries was in fact from India. As in the previous year, Toyota is promoting the Dream Car Art Contest in India for the second time. Our aim is to give children an opportunity to sketch their imagination about the car of the future."
To participate in the contest, children need to collect the Entry Form from any of the 48 Toyota Dealerships across the country. All entries must be in the form of A3-sized drawings in Colour - with the media and mode of expression used being up to the contestant. And if you're just revved up with car concepts, then you can keep your creative pedal to the metal and create more that one masterpiece, as each contestant is allowed to submit more than one entry. All entries for the 2005 TOYOTA Dream Car Art Contest must be submitted by 30th September 2005.
All entries will be sent to Japan where the screening and announcement of winner will take place. Winning entries will be announced in the January issue of Readers Digest. There are several prizes in store for the winners including a trip to Japan. Indian participants get a chance to win special prizes including Desktop PC's and educational book sets.

The 2004 Toyota Dream Car Art Contest
Toyota started the Dream Car Art Contest in 2004 for children below 15 years across 14 countries. Entries were invited in three categories, Environment Friendly Dream Car, People Friendly Safety Car and Dream Car of the Future with a purpose to create awareness towards Toyota's environment and safety activities.
The 2004 Toyota Dream Car Art Contest awarding ceremony was held at the Toyota Group Pavilion at EXPO 2005 AICHI, JAPAN.
Over 3500 entries were received from around 3000 children across 14 countries last year and total of 20 prizes were awarded last year.
