Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has registered total sales of 4,136 vehicles in the month of May 2005. Recently launched Toyota Innova has registered sales of 3,220 units in May and has sold 10096 units in last three months after its launch.
Mr. Atsushi Toyoshima, Managing Director, TKM said " With Innova crossing the 10,000 mark and healthy bookings, we are confident we have the right product in the market. While the top-end of the car has been a winner, we are seeing a growth in bookings for other grades also due to excellent acceptance from Businessmen and corporate segments, coming months should see Innova not just repeating the success of the Qualis but exceeding it."
Toyota Corolla, India' s largest selling car in the Executive segment continues to lead the segment with total sales of 851 units, a 12% increase over the corresponding period last year. Corolla's cumulative sales for the period April 2004-March 2005 stands at 9,942 units.
Toyota Camry registered sales of 56 units contributing to Toyota's total sales of 4,136 units in the month of May 2005.

TKM is a joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation and the Kirloskar Group. TKM has invested nearly Rs. 1,500 crores in its plant at Bidadi, employing over 2,300 people. The plant started production in December 1999 and has a capacity of producing 60,000 units annually.
