Toyota Corolla, India's largest selling car in the Executive Segment is now even more attractive with a host of practical features and styling changes. Toyota launched the New Corolla today with an aim to further consolidate its leadership in the C+ segment. Toyota Corolla commands a class leadership of 32 % of the discerning executive segment in India with sales of 6155 units between January and September 2005.

Corolla is a world class vehicle that has proven its prowess in India too. The popularity of Corolla in India is a result of our business philosophy of putting customer first. Based on customer feedback TKM has made every effort to meet changes in customer needs and provide a high quality product in the New Corolla.

Toyota Corolla is now available in 6 body colour options. The new Light Green Mica Metallic colour will be available in addition to White Pearl Mica Metallic, Black Mica, Silver Metallic, Champagne Mica Metallic and Super White.

New Corolla Exteriors
The imposing front grill has been re-designed to give a bold new look. The honeycomb grill design with a wider bottom line in the front bumper grips your attention. 10-spoke alloy wheel and tubeless tyres has been introduced across grades. The fog lamps have been re-designed and the new classy LED rear combination lamp adds to Corolla's classy appeal. The printed antennae in the rear windshield add to the aesthetic and prestige image. The new Corolla also comes with an improved suspension for better ride comfort best suited for Indian roads.

New Corolla Interiors
Interiors have been enhanced not only for better looks and luxurious feel but also for practical comforts for passengers. The stylist steering wheel now comes with an elegant wooden finish and it is also equipped with convenient audio controls. The premium music system comes with a 6CD, AM/FM in-dash player with MP3 player. The new wooden panel, new seat and trim fabric, perforated leather seats, leather steering wheel, chrome scruff plate in front doors augments the luxury image. Thoughtful improvements in the interiors like lumbar support for driver seat, courtesy lamp to improve visibility during entry and exit in dark, keyless entry enriches the driving experience in the new Corolla. Also, further reduction in noise, vibration and harshness has been ensured with the introduction of additional insulation pads.

The Corolla is powered by a 1.8 litre DOHC VVT-I engine that develops a whopping 125PS. Delivery of power is smooth and seamless thanks to optimal timing achieved by using Toyota's VVT-I (Variable Valve Timing-intelligent) technology.
Corolla has set a unique record by getting three prestigious awards,

  • Toyota Corolla has been ranked as best quality car in premium midsize segment by J. D. Power Asia Pacific 2004 India APEAL Study.
  • This result closely follows the results of J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2004 India Initial Quality Study where Toyota Corolla was ranked best quality car not only in Premium Midsize Segment but also across all passenger car segments
  • Unique distinction of being noted No. 1 Executive Car - 2 years in a row by Business Standard Motoring 2004 & 2005.

The Toyota Corolla also dominated the TNS 2004 Total Customer Satisfaction Ranking survey, which was based on Sales Satisfaction, Product Quality, Vehicle performance and design, after sales service, brand image and cost of ownership of vehicle.

The present, 9th generation Corolla has set a benchmark in styling, comfort and performance in the automobile industry. Toyota Corolla comes with warranty of 3 Years/1,00,000 Km, whichever is earlier and this has set benchmark for the automotive industry in India.
