Bangalore, October 15th, 2008: Toyota Kirloskar Motor Ltd. announced today that the Corolla Altis has posted record sales since its launch on September 5, 2008. In its very first month in India, the 10th generation Corolla has been seen by 70000 people. 20000 have enquired about the car and till date there are more than 2500 happy customers who have become a part of the Corolla Altis family.
The Altis has established Corolla's No.1 status in the premium sedan segment. Toyota has always set a benchmark in this segment with innovative luxury, comfort and performance, earning recognition from customers and critics alike over the years. With the Altis, Toyota has raised the bar for the entire segment.
Mr. Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director - Marketing, Toyota Kirloskar motor Ltd. expressed, "An integrated Marketing strategy by Toyota has contributed to the success of the Altis. It included Internet Marketing, SMS Campaigns and Mall Displays around the country. The efforts have received an overwhelming response -with sales crossing the target of 2000 cars planned for September '08."
Enthusiastic Toyota Dealers have predicted similar or better sales figures in the month of October, thanks to the two big Indian festivals - Dussehra and Diwali, and the response, so far, has been extremely encouraging!
