Nellore, April 16, 2008: Toyota Kirloskar Motor in its effort to come closer to its customers inaugurated a new dealership in Nellore on the Chennai - Kolkata highway near Kakutur. With this, Toyota's dealer network across (21) states in India touches 75th outlet. The new outlet, which offers sales, financing and insurance facilities, is aimed at being more accessible to the customer and offering him an enhanced purchase experience.
Mr. Yugo Miyamoto, Senior Executive Coordinator Toyota Kirloskar Motor and Mr. Kaoru Kuroda, Senior Executive Coordinator, Toyota Kirloskar Motor inaugurated Harsha Toyota in the presence of other officials from TKM and Harsha Toyota.
Inaugurating the dealership, Mr. Kuroda said, "With the setting up of this new 3-S dealership we at Toyota Kirloskar Motor have reached yet another milestone. This is our 20th 3-S facility in South. We have moved a step closer to our customers in Nellore and its surrounding areas with the setting up of this Harsha Toyota dealership."
Spread over a total area of 5,000 sq.mts, Harsha Toyota will have (6) general service bays, (6) body and paint bays and (1) paint booth besides having showroom and adequate parking space. Harsha Toyota will have total staff strength of 75 personnel.
Harsha Toyota - Nellore is the latest to join the network of exclusive Toyota '3S' dealership. '3S', which signifies Sales, Service & Spare parts under one roof, is Toyota's unique approach to customer care and service. The sales, service and spare parts officers in the Dealership have been given extensive training by Toyota. Harsha Toyota is similar to the other Toyota dealerships in India, meeting Toyota international standards of Quality and Service. It is fully equipped with state-of-the-art tools & equipment and necessary spare parts, from the day of commencement of its operations.
Harsha Toyota will cater to the needs of the customers in the city of Nellore and surrounding areas. Toyota has been expanding its dealership network since its entry in the Indian Automobile market in the year 2000. Starting from 25 3-S dealerships in 2000, Toyota today has a network of 75 outlets across the country. Toyota's dealerships today cover not just the Tier 1 cities of India like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai but also Tier 2 cities like Kannur, Dehradun, Nagpur, Rajkot, Bhubaneshwar, Vijaywada, Trichy among others.
Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) and Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), recently announced that it will build a second plant, in the existing site of TKM, to begin operations in 2010.The facility will have an initial annual production capacity of around 100,000 vehicles, with plans to increase it over time.
TKM will produce passenger vehicles including the Corolla as well as a new strategic small car, which is being developed with the aim of meeting the ever increasing needs of the customers in India, where motorization is rapidly expanding.
TKM currently manufactures Innova and Corolla at its existing facility in Bidadi, on the outskirts of Bangalore.
