Ghaziabad, March 2009: Toyota Kirloskar Motor's Corolla Altis has registered an impressive 46% rise in sales in Uttar Pradesh in February over the previous month this year. The company sold 512 units of Corolla Altis across India in February 2009.

Commenting on the performance of the Altis in North India, Mr. Shailesh Nag, Manager, Sales, TKM, said, "The Altis has reinforced Corolla's No.1 status in the premium sedan segment. Toyota has always set a benchmark in this segment with innovative luxury, comfort and performance, earning recognition from customers and critics alike over the years. With the Altis, Toyota has raised the bar for the entire segment."

The northern region has registered 45% growth overall with sales of 257 units of Corolla Altis in February 09 compared to 177 in January 09. Ghaziabad is the leading market in the state with 29% growth in sales in February 2009 compared to the previous month.

Ever since its launch in September 2008, the Corolla Altis has attracted customers from the corporate/executive segment. Corolla Altis has become a true symbol of Toyota passenger cars, contributing to the growth of the vehicle industry all over the world while meeting the Indian market's requirements for innovative luxury and design.

The Corolla Altis is available in four grades, the 1.8 J Executive (MT), 1.8 G M/T, the 1.8 G(L) M/T and a top-end grade 1.8 V(L) A/T model. The Corolla now delivers max power of 132 PS, which is 7 PS higher than the earlier model. The 1.8G M/T grade which is an equivalent of the previous H2 model, has been improved by the addition of features like Electric Power Steering, Optitron Combination Meter, Multi-information Display, Steering wheel with Audio Controls & MID switch and many more. The medium-grade 1.8G (L) M/T model has features like HID headlamps with washers and 8-Way Power Driver Seats with Power Lumbar Support.

And the top-grade 1.8V (L) A/T model has features like Cruise Control and Gate Shift Type Auto Transmission with Sequential Shift.
