Noida, September 24, 2015- Toyota Kirloskar Motor, after two successful EMR seasons, announced the return of the much awaited third season of the Etios Motor Racing(EMR) Trophy scheduled for 26th & 27th of September, 2015 at Buddh International Circuit. The EMR Trophy for 2015 was announced in the presence of Mr. N. Raja, Director & Senior Vice President, Marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Mr. Rajiv Sharma, General Manager- North, Toyota Kirloskar Motor and Mr. Birendra Kumar, Business Head, Espirit Toyota accompanied by other dignitaries.
Speaking to the media at a press conference held at Espirit Toyota in Noida today, Mr. N. Raja, Director & Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said "We are proud to be hosting the third season of the much awaited Etios Motor Racing 2015. The EMR Trophy is not just a platform for the young racers to venture out into the motor sport arena, but we also go the extra mile by preparing them for bigger opportunities for racing in India. The Etios Motor Racing platform is an earnest effort from Toyota for the aspiring young racers, who are keen to develop their motoring skills. We hope to see a good show this season especially with the new selected drivers from across the country".
Also speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajiv Sharma, General Manager- North, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, "Ever since EMR's inception in 2012 and over the years, we have seen the growing number of motorsport enthusiasts across the country. Etios Motor Racing platform has successfully catered to young aspirants to further develop their motoring skills. We wish all the drivers the very best and look forward to a successful season of EMR."
This year EMR saw a special addition to engage Corporates in the Etios Motor Racing. "The Toyota Corporate Go Kart Challenge" conducted in Delhi NCR had participants from various corporates putting their racing skills to test on the go kart track. One lucky winner from each location will be given a chance to drive the EMR car at the Buddh International Circuit, Noida on the 26th of September.
The EMR Series is based on a single-make racing championship platform. The Etios cars are specially modified for racing using specialized racing equipment supplied by TRD (Toyota Racing Development, Japan) ensuring highest standards of performance and safety. These EMR cars not only exhilarate technological prowess of Toyota but also the endurance levels of the Etios and the 'fun to drive' aspect of the vehicle.
The 15 young and enthusiastic EMR drivers - Hisham E.K.P, Hashim E.K.P, Shuchindra Gowda, Deepak P, Kartik Konchady, Arjun S, Syed Nasir, Mezaan Anees, Vibhav Parker, Vinod Gopalaswamy, Abin Thomas, Utsav Shah, Tapeshwar Sajith, Vivek Ramchander & Jagjyot Singh will display their racing skills with an eye on bagging the coveted EMR trophy.
