A CSR initiative of TKM to Enhance the Quality of Health in Khatima Taluk, Uttarakhand
November 03rd 2025: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has successfully installed medical and non-medical equipment at three health centers in the Khatima Block of Udham Singh Nagar district, Uttarakhand. As part of its FY 2025–26 CSR focus on health & hygiene, TKM has equipped the Sub District Hospital in Khatima and Primary Health Centres in Deori and Chakarpur, collectively benefiting 3,00,000 community members.
This initiative is part of the broader MoU signed between TKM and the Government of Uttarakhand to implement holistic CSR initiatives from FY 2025–26 onwards. The MoU focuses on key pillars such as education, health & hygiene, environmental sustainability, and community development. It is expected to benefit over 3.7 lakh people across the state.
Khatima block serves a population of 3 lakh through five government health centers. It has a persistent demand for maternal and child healthcare services and centers require essential infrastructure to manage basic emergencies and maternity cases. This initiative aims to bridge this gap and provide essential equipment.

A formal handover ceremony took place on October 31, 2025, at Primary Health Center, Deori in Khatima Block, Uttarakhand in presence of Dr Kishore Kumar Agarwal, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Udham Singh Nagar, Mr. Dharmendra S Kanyal, Block Development Officer (BDO), Khatima, Mr. Roshan R, General Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, Toyota Kirloskar Motor with the guidance of Mr. Divesh Shashini, Chief Development Officer (CDO), Udham Singh Nagar
Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Vikram Gulati, Country Head and Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Governance, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, “Through our long-term CSR vision, we remain committed to strengthening grassroots healthcare infrastructure. By contributing to critical maternal and neonatal care infrastructure in Khatima Block, we are working to ensure that every mother receives care, and every child has a stronger start to life. This step is our promise to build a better society for all.”
Sharing his appreciation, Mr. Divesh Shashni, Chief Development Officer (CDO), Udham Singh Nagar, said, “We are thankful to TKM for the initiative. It is a powerful step toward transforming maternal healthcare outcomes in our region. The upgraded facilities will improve our ability to respond to maternal care needs and ensure safer outcomes for thousands of families in the years to come.”
