A). Toyota Safety Edcuation Programme - TSEP

Initiated 2006

Background

    Road and transport has become an integral part of every human being. The present transport system has minimized the distances but it has on the other hand increased the life risk. Every year, road crashes result in loss of lakhs of lives and serious injuries to people. In India itself, about 1,46,133 people killed in road accidents.The analysis of road accident data 2015 reveals that about 1,374 accidents and 400 deaths take place every day on Indian roads which further translates into 57 accidents and loss of 17 lives on an average every hour in our country [source: MoRTH].

Objective

  • Aim at imparting training through awareness, preparedness and response as per the felt need
  • Create responsible road users and road ambassadors by imparting training in good practice on road safety
  • To have a ripple effect through dissemination of road safety awareness through practical involvement
  • Enageg different stakeholders and therby address the road safety holistically

Philosophy for sustainable CSR

Keeping in line with Toyota’s Global Vision, TKM is not only focusing on best safe cars but striving to create the awareness amongst the road users to have good road sense and discipline and create a safe driving environment.

As a safety crusader, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has been engaged in Road Safety initiative since 2005 through various pan India campaigns. We have always given utmost importance to safe cars and safe driving practices.  We are addressing traffic safety through integration of people, cars, and the traffic environment with the aim of completely eliminating traffic casualties.

B). Road safety awareness to airport taxi drivers

Objective

  • Building awareness level on Road safety to Airport drivers in Bangalore, Delhi & Hyderabad
  • To monitor and facilitate to improve health condition of the Airport drivers for better physical fitness
  • Collaborate with enforcement agencies to be part of the intervention programme

A). Support to provide quality education in governemnt schools through providing educational materials,
school infrastructure and capacity building of the teachers.

Background

  • Poor Infrastructer in govt schools leading to school drop outs.
  • Affordability of the poorer sections to continue education.
  • Skill level of the govt teachers are inadequate.

Objective

  • Provide Good infrastructure facilities to schools in and around bidadi. (target 2 school each year)
  • Providing Education learning material to 140 schools every year
  • Providing skill enhancement training to 200 teachers every year

  • Nation is moving towards cashless economy in recent days
  • Low digital literacy in rural areas which is effecting unorganized sectors

    A). School sanitation

    Initiated in 2015

    “Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya” support to Girl Child Sanitation

    Introduction

    Under the Government’s National Campaign to provide clean sanitation facilities for girl child in India, TKM is constructing sanitation units at identified schools by the Government in 3 locations across India to realize the mission “Clean India - Clean School”

    Sanitation: ABCD [A Behavioural Change Demonstration]

      TKM believes that providing the physical infrastructure is not only the solution to the problem but maintenance of the facility, changing the mindset in overruling the age old practices, bringing the behavioural change in the community to have good hygiene practices have to go hand in hand to get the success in the project. As a result of the ABCD programme, children motivated to have units at home and more than 3000 household sanitation units have been constructed and 74 villages have been declared 100% sanitation.
